I will need $1800 for the deposit to ensure this is what you want and you will get a receipt to make sure we have smooth transactions.
What part of SoCal is the motor located in? Victorville, CA
Is the engine built by a shop, engine builder, mechanic? All three, I am a certified Subaru technician in charge of the dealerships performance building and installs. I am personally selling and building this batch of motors out of my own pocket and on my own time. I am selling them as motors built by Nocturnal Racing Development (my company that im currently trying to establish)
Has the rotating assembly been blueprinted and balanced? Stock bore 2.5ltr motors are blue printed but not balanced, due to the use of the stock 2011 STI nitrate coated crank shaft. 2.61ltr - 2.71ltr stroker motors are blue printed and balanced.
Has the block been bored/honed for the forged pistons? I get my non closed deck motors brand new Directly from Subaru, so yes, the block is brand new and comes with a fresh hone. if the customer requests larger then factory pistons then yes i will bore and hone the block for the pistons requested. The closed deck motors come from C&G performance in Rialto (they are used), before i receive the block he cleans, measures, inspects, hones, and bores the cylinder if the customer requests larger then factory pistons.
Are the pistons 99.5mm's? Depends on the customers requests.
can the motors be crated and just picked up? The motors are packed in the original box they arrived in from Subaru. No wood re-enforcement has been added, just paper, plastic, and foam padding to protect the block from getting damaged during transportation. I can build or order a wooden crate if the customer wishes (for an extra charge). The blocks can be shipped, or personally picked up from my residence in Victorville, CA
If the customer is interested in the standard block mentioned on the forum as motor #1, then it comes with a new STI Block, New 2011 STI nitrate coated crank, ACL main and rod bearings, Eagle H-beam rods with ARP 2000 fasteners, CP 99.5mm pistons, and blue print sheet. Like mentioned before, I can also build a 100% custom motor if requested. Due to a large amount of engine building companies being sued for re-embersement for engine failure when it was actually the tuners mistake that caused engine failure, i do not offer a warrantee on any parts or labor. Once the customer buys and installs the motor, its up to them to find a tuner that will not blow the motor up.
