2003 Saab 9-5 aero wagon, mechanics special
Selling my dad's Saab for him. We live in the Bay (Walnut Creek), so I figured I'd post here to see if there is any interest. Im going to copy and paste my craigslist ad. This car would be a great daily if someone wanted to fix it on their own.
Price is OBO. $4000
Selling the family station wagon that was purchased new in 2004.
2003 SAAB 9-5 Aero.
-98000 miles
-Automatic w/ tiptronic, sport mode, and winter mode (great car for the snow even though it is FWD)
-One owner
-Turbo
-FWD
-Station wagon
-Black
-Moon roof
-Park Assist
The Bad
-**** This is a mechanics special. The car needs a battery (can be jumped to show that it will start and everything works). However, it will need to be towed. The car needs a fuel pump or possibly a crankshaft sensor. IT WILL START AND RUN, but it will not be safe to drive long distances as it will cut power and shut down. When this happens, it needs to cool down and will start right back up again. We have been told it is either the fuel pump or the sensor. You CAN drive it around the block and neighborhood to see that everything is in working order, but I do not recommend taking it far. I can reproduce the problem before purchase so that you can see what it does. Car is registered, it just needs a smog test, but since I don't want to fix it, it stays in the garage. It has been sitting for about a year or so, I occasionally start it to let it run. We have another car and live downtown so we only need one.
It has been involved in one minor accident. Only needed the front bumper and one headlight replaced.
Otherwise the car is in decent shape for being almost a 10 year old car. AGAIN, the car does run, but needs a little bit of work. Before the problem it ran very strong and got good gas mileage. Driven by a 60 year old adult.
Pictures upon request.
Free any day of the week
Price is pretty negotiable or open to trades. Preferably a motorcycle that is street legal and runs plus cash on your end.
Best way to contact me is email, phone, or text.
