New (to me) 04WRX in SJ
Hi guys. I've been lurking the forums at NASIOC for a few months but this seems to be the local crowd. This is my first subie, found it on Craigslist in December. Its a little different because its a automatic w/ leather - which is what I was looking for in a commuter car, with the added bonus of the turbo AWD of course
I immediately had it tinted out and upgraded the stock head unit to a sony that has digital audio inputs and bluetooth and made the stock speakers sound loads better.
I recently dropped on a roof rack for the bicycles and snowboards. I'm really happy with it, its super solid and quiet with the fairing on the front.
Over the summer I plan to toss on a new set of wheels, black HID headlights, and maybe a turboback exhaust. Its the first car I've ever had that I felt like modding a little bit so we'll see.
Previous owner lived in the city, and didn't always park inside, so the car had plenty of little scratches and dings. The worst to me is the front bumper - its got a lot of really bad paint chipping, and I'm betting a new bumper is about the same price as a professional paint job?
I'm really open to suggestions on how to deal with the dings/scratches/paint, or other upgrades. I also look forward to some meetups and drives as this looks like a lively community of people.
Thanks,
NateT

Welcome, not much you can do about dings in your paint. Touch up kits or respray or just live with it, subies are ruff and tumble anyway.
