I have no idea, however I've read that all Subaru stuff swaps fairly easily; sometimes requiring minor modification.

The 3.0 liter will go into any '93 and up Subaru. But if it was me, I'd start with a TS or RS rather than a WRX or STi... I don't know if it will mate up with the 6 speed, since it's only used with the Legacy 5EAT now. The bolt pattern may be different.

Installing it into an STI would be rather pointless. Heck, I would say this will probably cost around $15000 at least to do the H6 AND turbo it. A less expensive model, like a used 02 RS, or if you are really serious about performance, an 93-96 L and save the few hundred pounds of weight.

Aparently there are issues with the crossmember and the EZ30-R triple port exhaust setup, it will take a bit of custom fabrication to get the N/A headers to fit right, let alone to get TURBO headers on there!
Otherwise the install will fit, the wiring will be as much of a pain as any WRX/STI swap as since its coming from a legacy chasis the whole car harness will need custom rewiring.
The 6-speed will bolt up fine, since the other H6, the EZ30, bolted up to a 5-speed just fine (the bolt pattern is the same).

The other major issue, in terms of turbo, is that there is not any aftermarket support for building up that motor for turbo use... Everything will have to be custom made, and who knows if those heads are even turbo friendly... The intake manifold doesnt seem to be (plastic)

Personally, i'd rather see just the 6-speed + N/A EZ30-R in anything that didnt come with that much power... RS, TS, L, even a Forester

I would just perish the thought. The cars straightline performance/acceleration might be improved but youd sacrifice the balance of the car on the twisties. the H6 is just too heavy a motor for the impreza. Thats without the added weight of turbos and plumbing The money spent on custom fabrications would make it pointless. Youre better off just waiting for the new legacy the US spec 2.5 turbo is suppoed to make 250hp. Im writing to u from Greece right now where the legacy has been out for a year already. It is a beautiful car and a complete thought out package in a chassis thats designed to fit the 3 litre. Much better than butchering an impreza chassis to make an understeering wallet muncher. Besides I relish in the fact that I can **** Mustang's mother with just half the cylinders!!!

The H6 isn't all that much heavier than the EJ20.

would that take a GC to about the same weight distribution as a WRX
because if thats the case you COULD modify WRX after market suspension to work

"Doesn't that engine make the car very nose heavy and screw up the handling?
By removing the ABS block completely, which is a pretty huge hunk of aluminum, and relocating the battery to the trunk, the front to rear weight distribution is within about 1% of where it started. I still need to get it back on the scales that I weighed it before the swap to get better resolution on that figure."
