Need some advice
Need some advice
Hello I'm preparing to overhaul my car and I'm in the process of identifying and aquiring all of the main components.
Here is what I'm starting with:
1983 Donkervoort S7
(65' Lotus Super Seven rep)
1600cc Lotus twin cam
drive train is almost completly Cortina
the engine will be replaced with a Honda F20A (S2000)
I have been told that there is no better LSD than the STI so that is what I'm going with and why I'm here. Any advice? I'm going to need the LSD, axles and hubs.
Thanks,
Calvin

first off welcome
second off damn you!!!
i love the 7s i have been looking and looking for one. but way out of my price range for a weekend track car
ok now to your question. S2K diffs were suspect as being weak. THe other option for you is a nissian 300ZX diff. it is cheaper than the STi stuff I am pretty sure but i have not priced out the Z diff.

Thanks! I'm pretty well sold on the STi option. The guy helping me through this is a master at it, I just can't afford to buy directly from him, so I'll build my own with his help.

Where would you go looking for these parts? What would you be wary of?
Thanks again.

The problem with buying them from a wrecked car is the subaru guys want teh hubs axles and brakes too to do the full conversion, they are a hot item
brakes will go fast.
I would stay away from brown calipers (the gold ones that turn brown from heat.)
I would hit up some of the vendors here GST LIC DBtuned and ask them if they can source it, for how much. Ebay is the other place
