I was thining about buyin a on a top mount sti cooler and was wondering if the sti cool was worth the money or should I save and buy a after market one that cost alot more. for a 04 sub thanks Rhinno

 

I'd go front mount and lose the hood scoop for the stealth look.

 

what are the smog laws in your state? are there any? If you have to get smogged anytime soon, go with the top mount. What other mods have you done? A front mount might be pointless, especially if you haven't done anything else.

 

I live out a smog area, I have Header, up/down pipe, intake short ram spt, full exhuast with no cats, monday go in for dyno and tuning and also flash with like cobb stage 2 but little more.

 

a stock sti tmic will work fine, your on stock turbo no need for something to crazy

was it hard to install cause i want to get one as well. what else did you need to buy?

 

no it was easy u can do it yourself and probably take u like 20 -30 mins

 

didint think it was. so nothing else was needed for it to fit?

 

nope u can see the bolts alraedy there and just bolt it up u may need to get a new bov gasket

 

I put down 295/300 on the sti top mount with no issues. save your money and get the STi.
