I am wondering about stage 2

I found a car with 144k on the odo but the block was rebuilt at 110k and has the JDM RA tranny with about 45k on it. It's running on a stage 2 tune but without a Cobb AP. he has a FMIC running a stock turbo with after market brakes and suspension. Asking $12000. Worth it ?

If this is a 2012 STI then I would say yes... but you didnt mention the year, make or model so I am not really sure.

You could not pay me to take a turbo Impreza with over 100k on it that hasn't been recently rebuilt from the ground up. At 144k, half the car is on borrowed time.

What year is it? In your profile it says you have a 2002 WRX if this is 12k for an 02 even with those mods I would tell the owner to **** up a rope.

If you are looking to get into one of these cars its best to start with an unmolested model for less money and then do what you want.

Yeah. It's a 2002 at stage 2 with an FMIC on a stock turbo. With good suspension, perfoance brakes, the obvious 3" dp for the stage 2 and other stuff like that. It has the JDM RA STi transmission imported with only 45k on it and 35k on the rebuild

The asking price is a joke. And the FMIC actually hurts performance. RA transmission are not rare, hard to get, or expensive by any stretch of the imaginations. My car has 2/3 the mileage, a brand new +$10,000 motor, brand new $1,600 suspension, and a total of $35k in mods and his asking price isn't far from what I'd be asking for my car.

And then there is the fact that it has ridiculous mileage on it.

Should I just wait and keep looking ? Or should I try to lower the price ?
