i was just wondering... i'm kinda new

wassup. i'm kinda new to this forum but i was wondering if andbody heard of a wrx with a porche motor swap. my co-worker told me that he's gf's neighbor said that he had one. he even took them for a ride. but then she wouldn't know if he was telling truth or not. if it is truth, then much props to the guy beacuse that must be one expensive swap.

sounds like a waste of money to me.
Unless of course he dropped in a 911Turbo S motor (Twin Turbo Flat 6)............ then how the hell do you get the AWD system to work right if the motor is normally in the back of the car.

Doesn't sound very accurate.
Not just that, but it's a brand new car in the US. Why would someone buy a new car @26k or more just to take out the motor and have no warantee.
If you have that kind of money to blow, WHY ON EARTH USE A WRX? Just stick with the porsche!

Oh yeah, BTW, welcome!

Dude, co-worker's/ gf's/ neighbor / Mom twice removed...... probably meant that's it's almost the same type of motor (Flat) in a 911

I agree with Dan. The guy was probably trying to explain the motor to someone and used porsche as a reference.
and you know most women don't know a darn thing about cars.

My wife will argue with me about cars without a leg to stand on. Just yesterday her and a friend were saying that they could change a flat tire, but couldn't change oil. I couldn't help but giggle like a school girl. Dumb ***** telling me what's what in the car world and she can't even change oil. I hate that crap.
