i am currently in the market for an exhaust and plan on getting the P&L exhaust with invidia DP but i wanted to clarify this first... ive heard u need some kind of tuner like the cobb stage 2 for instance.. and that u need that to run s straight pipes exhaust... is this true? ive heard the car needs the tune to make sure it runs saffely with the new exhaust and doesnt throw any CELs as well... any help would be great

 

Only time the car needs a tune or a re-tune is when you change something from the downpipe forward. 99 percent of the users will say get pro-tuned "on a dyno" since it will be better for the car, I would personally but a Cobb AP and get it protuned with the car.

 

i have an ap on mine and i love it its a good investment for sure. you can do anything on it.

 

Engine management "tune" doesn't only insure the longevity of your engine, you will also gain more HP in addition to your new DP. But a protune will give you the most out of the setup and get you to stage 2
