I only have a Apexi n-1 (can only). I have no aftermarket down pipe/up pipe, just stock piping. What I want to know is can I just put 3" turbo piping w/ everything stock except the can, because I don't know when I'm gonna be able to (install) the aftermarket up & down pipe.

Uhhh.....kay , Lets Put It This Way ..........my Entire Piping For My Wrx Is Stock.. Can I Put 3" Piping Even Though I Have The Stock Up / Down Pipe?? O YEAH , AND SHOULD I TAKE OUT MY CATATLIC CONVERTER TOO & GO STRAIGHT PIPE(3")?? THANKS ....

If I were you I would just change the pipeing from the 3rd cat back which would give you a 3" cat back exhaust. I dont know much about the muffler you are talking but Im guessing it is 3". Do you know what downpipe you plan on getting? If you do and you want to do the rest of the piping you need to make sure what you install will mate up with the downpipe you want. Some downpipes like the one Cobb sells include the midpipe so If you did more than just a cat back you would be wasteing your money. Do you know what downpipe you want to get in the future? Here are some examples: Cobb http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/power-i.html#s-downpipe This downpipe along with Helix, Perrin and many others are a downpipe and midpipe all in one so if you plan on buying 1 of these just go from the 3rd cat back. If you go with a Vishnu http://www.vishnutuning.com/images/n.../downpipe2.jpg ,Bosal or any other downpipe like them you can go ahead and replace the midpipe since those downpipes dont include the midpipe. As for catless, you will have bigger hp gains but you wont be able to pass emmissions and your exhaust fumes will stink pretty bad. Before you do any of this you should do some research and make sure what you do will work with your future exhaust mods. Did you check out the link I posted so you can understand what the different parts of the exhaust are called?

Ummm Im Not Sure When Im Going To Be Able To Put The Up & Down Pipe....if I Do I Was Probaly Gonna Go W/ The "pde" . About Going Catlyst? Should I Do That ? We Dont Really Have Emmisions Laws Down Here In Hawaii ...........

PDE is a downpipe that includes the midpipe so just go from the 3rd cat back on the 3" pipe. Whenever you install the PDE downpipe and an uppipe you will be catless (cat #1 is in the upipe, cat #2 is in the downpipe and cat #3 is in the midpipe). To answer the question about going catless or not depends on if you want to be eco friendly or get the most power possible from your exhaust. Just so you know the upipe is before the turbo and the downpipe is after.
