Where is a good place in New England to get an uppipe put in? Price plays an important role here. I tried doing it myself the othernight and i only got as far as trying to remove the o2 sensor off the uppipe heatshield...This took about and hour and half to get to..I need help.

p.s.-it took me like four hours to gut a used uppipe.

p.p.s.-it was a loooooong weekend for me

Hey man i got my uppipe installed at Speedsport Technik in Norwalk. They charged me around $180 (i should check to make sure) and it took most of the day. At first i didnt have any problems but later i got the infamous uppipe leak. If i were you i would buy new gaskets for the uppipe and have them installed also. After the swap i really didnt feel any performance difference, just a bad fume smell when warming up the car in morning. All in all i think it is a good start for a better exhaust setup. my two pesos....

i have actually heard of them before. They were known for their work on Porsches and high performance cars. I guess from what I heard that the owner grew interest in Subaru and they just started working on Subarus. But what boggles my mind is that im sure they have worked on porsche 911 turbos...and that means that they must of put in an uppipe in before.....I say have them redo it or get ur money back.

Instresting.....ive never considered getting my money back or anything like that. To explain my experience some more i set a appointment with them a couple of weeks beforehand and they asked about the gaskets, I said that i have not purchased any new ones. They then said that they would use the oem gaskets if they were in good enough condiftion, if not they will have some in stock. Well to my demise, they didnt change the gaskets and when i asked them about new ones they had no idea that they were supposed to have any in stock.......

All in all i think they rushed the job because of the fact that when i called later in the day, when they said to call, they ahd not worked on the car at all. Apparently there was another major porject that they had been doing (prob a porsche) all day and they said that a up-pipe install would not take that long so they were going to do it later in the day. I finally got my car back at the end of the day, car felt kinda mushy like they have been driving the car hard (prob a driving test), with no leak....that didnt come till a couple of weeks later.
