Anyone know a good tint place in RI? I just got my new 04 wrx to replace my 02 that was totalled (by someone else) in December. Also what is legal in the states around here (RI MA CT NY NH VT)? I have 35% on the sides and 20% on the back last time and could have done %20 all the way around but I want to make sure it's legal first.

You should check with your Registry of Motor Vehicles (or the RI equivalent) on what's the legal limit. I know in MA it's 35% all around except the front windshield. You only need to be legal for the state you're registered in, but in the interest of not drawing attention to yourself, you may want to find a happy medium.

 

I am going to go legal for at least MA CT & RI. I have heard that if a cop pulls you over in another state ( the example I heard was PA) no matter where you are from the can make you peel it off or tow your car! Not sure how legal it is, but last year I read it on a subaru (old i-club) board and someone said that it happened to them.
