Dealership for service NW suburbs
Just moved back to NW suburbs and need to take my STI in for 7500m service. Can anyway one recommend where to go or where not to go?

RE: Dealership for service
You might want to try ROTO Subaru in Arlington Hts. Their phone number is (847) 255- 5700. This is the dealer I bought my STI from. I cannot speak for their service since I have not needed any service to date (I do my own oil changes). I hope this helps.

Actually, I dissagree. ROTO is the last place on the planet that I would take my car ever again. I bought my 04 WRX there and they were total buttheads, as well as being rude and insulting. Sorry I'm an early twenties female and you can't handle it, but whatever.

Truthfully, they sold me a nice Java black pearl car that they had SCRATCHED and then unsuccessfully tried to buff out. The car was in terrible shape when I got it. Coffee on the driver's seat (like, a whole cup!), a huge scratch in the front bumper, dirty floormats, acid rain on the hood and spoiler, and bird crap damage all over the hood. Sad man. Very sad.
There is a place in Libertyville where I will be taking my car from now on. It's near 45 and 60, and they're not *******s.

Wow Jenne313, what a terrible experience. I don't blame you for how you feel. I also don't care how old you are, no one should be treated this way period! Did you have this experience with sales, service or both?
Like I said in my post, i have yet to take my STI to them for service, but if the service dept. treated you like this, I may have to find another dealer as well.
Jenne313, thanks for the heads up, this is what these forums are for.

Geralds subaru in naperville. . . if / when I have to take my car into the shop for work I go there and request John. Smart guy, good guy. . .
Every experience that I've had at Geralds in naperville has been good. They've taken good care of me.

It's likely that they do good work. Sadly, I'll never know. :_(
