Best tuner in MI

I need to go to a dyno and have the UTEC dialed in for the STi. I was choosing between Godspeed and Payn Technologies. Any pros/cons for either tuner?

I live in TN and I know about Payn in Troy. My sister still lives in downtown Birmingham ( I grew up in Rochester) and I have driven by the place several times. Is it on Maple (15th mile) or 14th mile? Whats the streets between it?

Been there before, and talked with Tom Payn (think that is his first name). Seemed very knowlageable. Just checking with others to find out who is the best. Most likly will go with Payn. Wonder how long it will take him to tune the STi?

Tom Payne is off of 15 mile between Coolidge and Crooks on the north side of 15 mile. His shop is off of a side street, but I can't remember the name of the street.

what type of tune are you having done? ECU reflash?

Here is his web-site:

As of right now I hear Payn's Dyno is down...they had some water damage from all the rain we have been getting and his landlord doesn't seem to want to pay for the damage. They may be going to court from what I hear. Could be a while....But I hear that he is the best around for tuning so you may want to wait.

I guess there is a new 4 wheel dyno opening up in the area in the next month but I am waiting to hear where it is and who will be tuning there.

We did get alot of water. His dyno is right next to the rear entrance too. Just got some bad news, the UTEC is backordered 2 weeks. I leave for the AKA rally the day it is supposed to be at Vivid. So the tuning will have to wait. Hopefully his dyno is up and running by then.

Payn all the way

Yeah, I've heard alot of good things from the guys at Showdown motorsports in Toledo. They recomended me to Payn. Yeah, there pricey, but well worth it IMO. You gotta pay to play, and experience goes along way.

Ended up getting the UTEC from Godspeed. They hooked me up with a great deal, they also did a good job on my wastegate. I highly reccomend them too.
