Thanks everyone for coming. I didn't expect this many people. Maybe we should do this more often.
I checked the AGX shocks. They are $480 at Gruppe-S. Interesting thing is that you can buy them each seperately from Discount Tires Direct for a total of $464.

yeah that was definitely a good meet. attendance far exceded most of the sac meets, and everyone was cool to talk with. if you guys are down to do some more of these meets, then i'll be there as much as i can.
but is there a different spot where the cops won't come and bust us up?
and hell yeah guys, come to the natomas meets. if nothing else, that'll just be that many more people at the meets!

A lot of the older SRIC guys have different priorities (married, new kids, different work schedules, etc), as well as the fact that half of us don't even live in the area anymore. Hell, most of the Davis guys always complained in the past that Natomas was too far. When you've got a large portion of people that live an hour away from the previous meet, people don't just roll out every saturday, they make it when we make the call to get everyone together (like what happened at this Davis meet, which is cool).
As for the dilution of Sac meets, they got "taken over" because some guys new to the Subie community extended invites without really checking with the rest of the group as to why it might be a bad idea, and now we're ****ed. I'm not talking about Manny and the couple of ex-DSM guys who are rolling Subarus here, I'm talking about the hondas and everything else that seemed to show up at the sme time as someone put out a call saying "there's a chill meet that doesn't get messed with by cops."
Whatever, I'm not in Sac anymore, but I've already seen the level of jackass BS happenieng at the meets later in the evening, which is going to bring police attention and kill the meet. That's why the older club guys stopped coming out, they don't want to be a part of it when that goes down. The meet was always low-key, with people showing up to hang out with friends who happened to drive scoobies, not to brag about their latest mods and swing their dicks about street racing and ****. We always poked fun at the ricer BS going on around the meet, but the cops knew we were seperate.........now the same crap is going on and the kids doing it pull in next to us. Guilty by association.
Anyways, sorry I missed the meet last night, didn't get off work until late. Glad it was chill and you guys had a good time.

Plus, now that its getting cold, I'll come out when I feel like it. And when ski season starts, don't even expect to see me around until next year sometime.

Then put it to a vote so that we can get a consensus on a new Natomas meet.

hehe, good luck trying to get the meet changed, I've tried that before, you could just meet somewhere else if you really wanted too, like this Davis meet for example, and then try to make it another meet spot, but the Natomas meet spot will still stay.

When you pull in to Raley's at 6:10 on Saturday evening and only three other people have shown up, and one of them is about to leave, you know the Subaru meet is DOA for the night. To add insult to injury, when you walk out of Jack's Urban Eats and there are already twice as many DSM's parked around you with more to come, you get the feeling like you're trying to defend the Alamo.
Things can't keep going on like this. Either more Subaru people need to show up and take back the Natomas meet, or we'll need to re-group somewhere else. Since most of the "Old School" guys probably don't want to go to jail over a turf war (I'm also too old for that **** myself), the only alternative other than disbanding altogether is to find another place to go.

Plus, i dont own a subaru....does that mean i'm not welcome?
I've popped my hood... but we were looking at the lack of fenders in my engine bay. among other things. People know i dont street race....unless its for jesus.
/random thoughts from me.
Ditch The natomas spot? I could see this as an opportunity? 4real though i think thats a bomb *** spot, in the middle for every one. But **** DSM if people are really trying to ditch it. i could use it for the norcal street meets...but i think thats just wishful thinking ; ) i have not invited any one from the site/group since the first time out of respect so if you guyz really dont mind...
