Maybe we can promote this track day at our local meets. There are always new members showing up. Also, even longtime members who might never have been to a track day might go with a little persuading and encouragement.

Damon, Slack, I’m glad you guys are in. We are still working out the details and possible sponsors from local venders. Our main goal right now is to get the 55+ or so cars to make the "Subaru" only day possible. Mike and I are currently working with the venders and will up date the progress as we go along.

So far S-Squared, MPJ, and SubyDude will be involved in some way shape or form and we are working on a couple of others. It will pretty much just be a fun event where everyone can chill out and do some driving in a "some what controlled arena". Not a race, but just good fun driving. Even if it’s your 1st time on the track it’s all good. There will be one instructor in a non-Subaru car on the track at one time or another but it will be limited to the instructors only. Green group will get instructors at all times unless given permission by the run group leader or Hunpin. Yellow group will have instructors available upon request.

If you guys have any specific questions that haven’t’ been answered please PM myself (Lowball) or Egan. Make sure you check out the links posted to get an idea of how things will work.

I've got $200. I want to get my car out there, but I'm nervous about smashing it or otherwise breaking it.

You guys know of any way I can make sure my car would be covered if an accident occured? I'd be in the novice group, probably with an instructor on board - I mean, I guess I could just use live support and ask someone, but I'd hate to get dropped or something. Let me know.

I've seen you drive. You won't crash. Thunder Hill is a forgiving track, perfect for first timers. And at any rate, you are almost certainly covered. Call your insurance company and ask if they cover the vehicle at driving schools. They would have to specifically exclude it for you not to be covered.
