Does this mean all unlimited laps participans are subaru owners? I was under the assumption if we didn't get 55 cars there would be slots.

Even if we don't get the full 55 cars, we can still get sponsors to help lower the costs for the Suby drivers. That's what the VW guys did for the last event. I think there were something like 30-35 VW's. Their price was like $165 and anyone else was $215. That was because of the VW sponsors.
I got a message back from Subydude and Nate @ S-Squared. They stated they will attend. I still need to talk with them about sponsorship. The more sponsors we get the less the entry fee will be for each subie.
As far as 10/4 goes...we can have that date but we will need to see how many cars we can get by 7/31. If we are close and can get a few more after that date then we can have an all-subie day but it needs to be 55 or very close to that number.
But like mike said
we can still have a semi-exclusive day if we don't get the 55 cars and unlimited laps will save us how many slots we need/can fill.

I'm sorry I never got a chance to see CupertinoSteve's car on the track before he sold it.
...but I did get to see suby_dude and Nate@S-Squared hot lap Buttonwillow last March.

Doh - I forgot all about the track car! It's been so long since I've heard any updates on that monster.
