I sure hope brian is in.

Man, i went to put on my "dirt" tires as i like to call them and one of the rears have a slow leak. Looking closer at the tire i found a U Nial in the tire So it looks like i'm driving with my beat-up road tires. Guess i woun't be going as fast this time on the gravel / dirt parts.

I'm assuming the gravel/dirt is smooth and that skid plates are not called for. I don't really have time to put them on.

Yes Tim. The road is VERY smooth. At least the long one is. There is this other one we take later in the day that is a little rougher but nothing to worry about.

Oh man, Christina went shopping last night for the trip and there is so much great snack etc sitting around the house now... i'm about to go crazy. Because she says i can't have any

Um,

So how does this work?

If I gotta be in Mendo early on Sat, then I probably need to leave from work tomorrow evening... but so far I don't know where we're actually going.

Where/when do we meet up?

I probably won't be able to check the web from work tomorrow, so hopefully someone can weigh in with an answer sometime tonight.

Lookin' forward,
Mike

Plan to meet in Santa Rosa about 7:45AM or so, there will be a short round of introductions and instructions handed out.

bring a digital watch, clock or better yet- a palm OS handheld computer device if you have one.

Let me know if you don't have any of those at your disposal.

We start from the Santa Rosa Krispy Kreme, it's on the East side of Santa Rosa Ave just south of the Yolanda st exit...

Oh yeah and don't overlook the fact that a 30% probability of precipitation kicks in at 1AM Sunday,

i.e.; bring rain gear, and hope we don't need it- rather than leaving it at home and finding out the hard way that we do

Wow, the last minute drama kicks in!

The route books are printed and ready.

Sfwrx2 has bailed, giving no excuses, just "I can't make it"

Brian has disappeared off the face of the plant, hopefully he'll turn up in Santa Rosa but tomorrow at 8 we'll be off- come hell or high water (-hopefully not the high water part though).

So Rich, we'll probably need to put you back in the running, and we'll add Eric as our 5th when we meet him in Honeydew

in just 15 hours, 5 subarus will be on their way northwardout of Santa Rosa, look out-

Not a problem Pete. I would love to run the race. Tim and I never got to run a 3rd TSD together after he won one and i the other.

The car is loaded down with tools, tents, firewood, food, tires etc....

It's Sunday afternoon and i'm waiting fot Pete i come over tonight. The ride home took forever, but i still had a great time.

Pete, thanks again for putting this together. And thanks to all that came along for the fun. Tim, i was very happy that Laurance took the time to hang out with us around the campfire last night. He normally hides away and no one gets to see him. Josh, it was really a preasure meeting you this weekend and i hope to see you out more often.

Yeah, that did take forever to get home.

Thank you to Pete and everyone who participated.
As always, Pete and Rich provide the best roads on Earth.
I will try to get some of my video on my computer and find a place to host it so I can put it up.

-Did a fine job considering I had Max as my Navigator (J/K Daredevil)
