Tom i have one on my car. I had it installed because I am lazy. As long as your don't get an underdrive pulley it works exactly the same as the stock one. The underdrive pulleys have a tendancy to not charge your accessories correctly so your car doesn't always start. Cobb and Perrin both make lighter than stock but the same size pulleys.
