Cool. So I have a computer question. My external harddrive makes a lot of noise, especially when I try to run Itunes and it's accessing music. Is that bad?

 

Is the music on the external hdd? If so it's just reading it, and how old is the hdd?

 

do you notice any abnormality when playing music from it? Moving slow, more noise during particular songs, noise gets progressively louder, progressively softer?

The hard drives is always whiney. It's at least 3 years old, but probably even older since it is not even USB 2.0. It gets louder when it is trying to access music. Sounds like a rattling whiring noise. Does not get progressively better or worse, just gets louder when trying to access the music (which is on the external drive) and stays that way. I'm not super bugged by the noise but worry that the thing is gonna take a crap and take my music and stuff with it!

 

rene has like 15 hard drives, I'm sure he could spare one!

Haha, but seriously, how much information do you have on it? It sounds like it may have some sort of cooling fan that kicks in when the hard drive goes under load. What make/model is it?

 

I don't know much about it. I'll look at it later and see if it has a make/model.

Starbucks in Aptos? I know it's on Soquel by the Safeway, but what would be the best exit to take off of hi 1? I don't really want to take Soquel all the way down

 

Ok so you take state park drive exit...... Turn left towards soquel i think it is, then take a right at the lights by safeway. Follow the road down under the bridge and past the Britania Arms on your right hand side. Take a right at the stop sign into the car park and your there.... see much better than mapquest!!
