raven usually sets up a Friday meet. He had to bounce early cause he got work at 4am. Don't want to keep doing him like that. As well as get mixed up with the Thursday meet crowd that is already there.

Well, I've been a resident of Walnut Creek for 24 hours now and I've ripped my bumper off the fender brackets twice already. i really need to get used to these California roads

 

How did you manage that? roads in WC concord are pretty decent.

 

pulling into the budget (down the hill) next to the Subaru dealership and then pulling out of my apartments. I'm not low that low. Just need to get used to the higher entrances when pulling into places.

 

Officially changing the date back to Thursday. Friday is going to be a **** show in terms of rain.

 

Interdasting... the forecasts I'm seeing also call for rain on Thursday evening. Sure, the showers will be decreasing close to the meet time.

But I think a better option would be to throw the feeler out there for a Saturday daytime meet since that weather outlook predicts only a slight chance for a spot shower. Might also be a nice chance for a spur-of-the-moment cruise that day. Just my $0.02.

Btw, I can make either day & time.

Ah, understood. I figured you probably had something else going on Sat. And y'all are doing a kickbutt job keeping the Subie Love going in this part of the East Bay.

I'm all "planned out," so whenever I can I'll gladly roll thru to whatever day/time y'all pick. I save my "planning muscles" for BAM.

I should be able to drop in for a while tmrw nite. But only a quick pop-in again as I plan to ride Sierra or Boreal for the day on Fri. Crossing my fingers that the hillsides along 50 and 80 hold up tmrw and Fri, so that I can make the journey w/o much issue.

 

How was the meet last nite? Too bad I didn't get a chance to roll thru. 'Twas nice that yesterday's early a.m. storm was in-n-out like a ninja w/ no lingering showers, so rain wasn't an issue at all.

 

Pretty clean turnout. About 30 Subaru's this time around, not many other makes!! Came in two waves, 7pm crowd then 9pm crowd. hahaha.

Awesome to hear. As I suggested a few weeks back, y'all may wanna look into meeting a couple times a month. The numbers certainly suggest it. I recall Shannon said he'd be down for the increase in frequency.

I know the rain can deter folks from showing during the winter. Happens with most outdoor gatherings, eh? You can always play the weather contingency by ear like you did with last week--i.e. changing from Fri to Thur (good call, btw, Brian ). But maybe starting with March, go with every 1st and 3rd week of the month--whether Thur or Fri? Whatever works for most. My $0.02. Just stoked that there's renewed interest for a regular meet.
