soooo.... for thos who i texted saying my starter fried, im at such a loss for decisions/actions right now...

story for everyone else:
friday night when i got to my car after class it wouldnt start. like a dead battery so i got a friend to give me a jump (neither of us had cables so he flipped his battery and touched it to mine, super ghetto but it got my car started. thats all that i cared about at that point) i get tot my apartment and pack my stuff and head out. cars dead again! after having run for a good 20-25 min. it eventually rolled over and started and i was on my way. i get home and didnt touch it until the next day (sat) when dale came over to go get an rc car. leaving my house my car started just fine! then we get to hobby town and as we leave car wont start again!! finally starts then we drive home. i didnt touch the car again besides running voltage drop texts and any other test i could do that i knew of and everything came out looking fine. no out of spec voltage drop to the starer no paracidic drain on the battery nothing. so i went on with my day just thinking hmm i guess its fine but might need to change the battery. since i get good deals on parts from school i was gonna wait it out until yesterday to get a new battery. so as i leave monday morning car started fine. then i get to safeway and get gas. i was there a max of 10 min and the car wont start again!!! i called my dad and asked him to come rescue me and give me a jump and when he got there, before i even popped my hood, he said give it another try. so i do and wouldnt you know this dumb car starts. so i get up here to sac and unpack shower all and go to leave for school and the car clicks. no starter spin just a click. so i tried again making sure i repushed in my clutch and it clicked again. third times a charm right? suuure why not! so i try a third time and smoke came out my hood vent! greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! factory smoke! never a good thing to see! so i popped the hood and looked/smelled around to see what it could be, wires, plastic, ect. and it had basically no smell... so i called my dad and he said find a ride to school he would come up here this morning and try to help. i get a ride to and from school and when i get home my friend who gave me a ride takes a look and says start it and it starts... slowly but it starts so it must just be the battery. my volt gauge has the correct voltage reading but the amperage might not be there. my buddy says he will be back in the morning to take me to get a battery and replace mine since i have no tools here at the apartment, aaaaaaaaannnnnnnddd this morning his wifes car blows. huh! what am i to do now? i call my dad and he yells at me for not letting him just come up instead of having ben help and blah blah blah. so now he is currently on his way to get to my apartment to take me to get a new battery and hopefully that fixes it. i still have no idea what the smoke was from but if i get a battery in it and it will start and run fine i can get it home and replace my downpipe and take it in for an inspection. waaaaayyyy cheaper than getting it towed to ac then towed to san rafael. on top of that im supposed to be getting my front bumper fixed this week aswell so i had a crap load of stuff going through my head yesterday and didnt pay attention to anything we learned in class. i really am beginning to not like this car at all...

Damn Dan that blows! you sure it's not the starter or loose wires that have a bad connection??

I know what you mean. It's exciting because you can see what they could be and all their potential. At the same time, some of their mistakes are things that shouldn't even be happening. Stuff they should have gotten worked out during the preaseason and training camp.

If things don't change, there has to be a change made at the end of the season. I'm hoping that these are mistakes that will be sorted out and the team can get it together and get a winning streak going.

i checked everything i could. if i can get it to school i can do more but as much as i could do was with a DMM and my brain.
