Found out from a dealership that I can order a LGT(takes 4 to 6 weeks). It would be nice to have a brand new one and do the break-in on it, get it drinking premium oils right away

It's (nut)sacrilegious but I have always wanted to get an old nova or mustang and throw a skyline motor or 2JZ in it or get a 510 and put a EJ25(sti) in it! I don't mind mixing... LS1 RX7's/240's are boss as well. Has anyone researched COBB's focus? it's almost all MazdaSpeed parts LOL I guess it's not to weird since ford motorCO owns mazda...

And you can always build unequal. LOL. It doesn't have to be off by much.
They changed a TON in the new motors... TON. Finally went with chains instead of belts. Woot.

They changed the turbo location in 2008 I thought? I know they changed the mounting style. A lot more plastic in there now.

05-09 Lgt's have the same turbo, intake manifold, intercooler setup as 2009-current wrx's ... 2010 + LGT's have the turbo mounted between the engine and radiator. Search stage 2 2010 legacy gt and you'll see pics of the new setup it's a trip!
