MEET UP: North Bay, lets get it going!
The cards look good, but Im not sold on the road sign either. Plus, unless these cards are gonna be 4"x6" you arent going to really see the map on the back clearly enough to help and the road sign might make the front seem too cluttered.
Also, sorry it took me so long to write. I was busy with this long *** deployment and the stuff were doing.
What about this for the front of the card:
If you are reading this, your ride must've stood out amongst the rest! Come out and join us at our bi-weekly meet and spend some time with our friendly, family orientated group of car lovers. We look forward to seeing you there!

I am in favor of leaving the 7PM for the sole purpose that if I was Mr. New Suby Owner and someone stuck this card on my windscreen I wouldnt NEED to go to a computer or smart phone to show up. All the pertainent info is on the card (I still vote to lose the map due to size of real estate on the card) for me to be able to 1. find the meet and 2. be there at least around the time others will be there.
This is what I came up with for the back, keep in mind please that I typed this on 3 hours sleep at 4:15 AM while on watch. Just dont tell anyone that Im NOT navigating the ship
The members of North Bay Subaru Meet are a close knit group of Subaru fanatics that meet up every other Saturday evening to talk about cars, modifications and parts, offer advice, and just spend time admiring each others cars. Most of the time we do this while grabbing a drink or a bite to eat at a local hang out that appreciates our business. Every FIRST Saturday of the month we usually coordinate a fun drive around the area or some other type of get together such as a Bar-B-Que on the beach, bowling, indoor kart track racing, track days at local race tracks, or countless other local events in the Bay Area. If this sounds like something you might find interesting, we encourage you to stop by and introduce yourself! See you there!
Also!! I think instead of the map, use that space for this...
"You were spotted by: (Blank white box on dark background, or dark outlined box for i-club screen name or real name) "

Ya the map I threw in really to fill in space. I like the idea of adding the "youve been spotted by..." I can add that instead of the map.
I think the wording is pretty solid right now since we want it to be short an sweet.
I added road the road sign because of our choice of road we take on our drives. It was also used as a filler but I can easily replace it with a subie

I only changed the writing because I felt it was a little too choppy, it's pretty much the same length with the exception of the "...Bar-B-Que on the beach, bowling, indoor kart track racing, track days at local race tracks, or countless other local events in the Bay Area" part where I added a couple things.
I'm just trying to help by tossing in my $.02
Personally, I think of young kids, fast and furious style, when I read "sweet ride" on the front. If you want to shorten it a bit, I'd recommend taking out "we are" and using "we're" since you started the intro with a compound word you might as well stick with it. Or you could just take out "you've" since "you" would flow better there anyway.
I understand the keeping it short and sweet, but you want it to sound like the group is a bunch of mature drivers instead of a bunch of high school or college kids that meet up to do burn outs and racing in the parking lot. I think the more "professional" and polished the writing seems the better clientele you will attract to the meets.
No offense, just being honest.

Oh, and that line about welcoming Subaru owners tells me that while we claim to be a friendly group of car lovers, the only ones we allow at our meets are Subarus. Thats how I would read that if it was placed on my windshield.

First off, i'm the only one that came forward with a draft. We are a "subaru" group from a subaru forum. This flyer was not intended for distributing to cars like hondas & toyotas etc., which is why it is predominantly a subaru flyer. Honestly, the flyer is a composition of everyone's opinion of what it should say. I do encourage feedback, but not to the point where your bashing everything I just recreated using everyone's input. I feel, the wording is solid and wont be changing it unless it is a grammatical error.
That being said, if the postcard I created is not what everyone wants I encourge people to put up their ideal postcard and we can use that instead, but I can't satisfy everyone.

Who was bashing? You asked for feedback, I write stuff like this as part of my job (articles, press releases and photo captions for Official Coast Guard photographs) so excuse me for trying to help.
And furthermore, I am well aware we are mostly a Subaru club (kind of got that from the Impreza part of i-club) but that doesn't mean that we only appreciate Subaru's. I think if someone turned up with a 69 GTO because their Suby is in the shop, at least a few of us would welcome that individual at the meet. That's the point I was trying to convey, not to bash what you said.
If you take it personal, that's on you. I was trying to be nice but apparently you can't accept constructive criticism without thinking someone is trying to personally attack you and your hard work. I like the card overall, I am not bashing your design am I? I'm not an Adobe PS guru, so I don’t try and tell you to adjust the levels of those colors or whatever. I appreciate the work you've put into it, all I'm saying is that I think the wording can sound a little more accepting and inviting and less like a middle school book report.
I'm no English major, but I think that it should read a little more eloquently if we are trying to persuade people to join.
Take what I say however you want, I'm not going to sugar coat it anymore if that's the way you feel.

Hey Steve, you're deep into the photographies.... Do you have any high res pics of meets you've been you? If so, could you send them to me and Lacy? That way she (and myself) don't need random stock photos for filler...
