Honestly, I think the roads we planned for are doable. However, we should do it on a Saturday AND we need to start the cruise much earlier. So if we have the same meeting spot as yesterday, we should all be there by 7am and plan to leave by 7:30am. I know it's early, but ultimately traffic is unavoidable in the bay area on weekends, and the only way to avoid it is by claiming the roads before everyone else wakes up. What do you guys think?

I believe you when you say the roads we have planned are 'doable', but would an earlier meet time accommodate everyone? That's why we all agreed on 10am. Now moving the drive day to Saturday is much more feasible, but we need to hear what everyone thinks about that.

IMO, I think 7am is too early (definitely for me) for a drive. If I have to get up earlier to make sure I don't hit traffic on a driving route, I would honestly rather go another route. The last few drives we planned have been very successful with the day/time we currently have set up.

Thats just what i've noticed for myself. I could still work either day into my schedule.
Going into the city is also way different then hwy1, or something like Sonoma backroads. Its easy to loose people in the pack with so many stupid drivers cutting you off in the city. And theres to many of those stop sign things
We definitely took the more scenic route through the city, but I did get left behind every 5 minutes in traffic.
Further south on highway 1 would be good, there are also a ton of good roads north on 1 in the Petaluma/Pt. Reyes area... bikes are a pain in the *** though.

This is exactly why I suggest Saturdays or early Sundays. We all love the same roads as bikers, and the idea behind starting early is being able to use the road while they're all still in bed hungover from the night before.
This applies not just for SF and the south bay, but for all the roads in our area (like Skaggs).
Ibelieve sunday works best for my self and the wife. Saturdays most people work, and sundays seems to be more of a stay home/chill day. Im down more for a sundayfunday day with the crew.
An idea i have, u guys decide if u like, maybe we can go next time to lake barryesa... Its a nice drive and toms of beautiful places to take photos. Jst throwing that out there

I prefer Sundays because I am always busy on Saturdays. On the other hand, leaving earlier could be a good idea too. But definitely not 7:00 AM! I sleep in. But somewhere in the middle, we could find an earlier time, such as 9:00 or 9:30

As far as the Saturday/Sunday issues, I'm on board with Sunday as I like to keep Saturdays open for house/car related work.
Lastly, I'm going to drive Lucas Valley Blvd this Saturday for sh**s and giggles as I missed the last drive and I heard it's a great drive. Everyone is free to join up. I'll probably head out around 1-2pm. Just let me know if anyone wants to meet up for this (PM or otherwise).

Not sure what the route is yet, but thought I'd throw this out as an idea.
Coming up 128 on the S. side of Berryessa, turn rt on Lower Chiles Valley Rd.
Then turn rt on Pope Canyon rd.
Left on Knoxville rd.
A really empty back road. Haven't been out there in years, so I'm not sure of the road
condition. Goes over the ridge to Lower Lake.
Dunno...might add too many miles though

So, I modified the calendar and changed the Lucas Valley Blvd drive to the WheelDude BBQ event at their new warehouse. They will be having free food, discounts on wheels and wheel repair. I'm going to attend this and wanted to see if any one else wanted to rep the North Bay.

**** yea! Ive hella wanna do that for yrs but have not have the chance to do it. Every time i go to sac i always forget to go towards berryessa.
