New forester... **** yeah! you're still a subie family then. good choice.
Does that mean that the sti is equal length, or just Turbo back?

Just the turbo back. The equal length is staying on the car

I think it's time we had a real meet while the weather is still nice. we could do a drive, bbq, dinner, drinks, or any reasonable combination of those activities.
We could do this sunday, or next. My goal is to get the discussion started soon enough that people have a chance to voice their availability and preference.
It'd be nice to get a big turnout for this one

If you read my post carefully, you'll notice the clause "any reasonable combination of those activities"
The assumption that I would suggest something irresponsible and dangerous on a public forum is absurd. Thanks anyways.

holy moly! thought my engine blew up tonight!

today i noticed 5 little drops of radiator fluid on the ground, so i have to find the small leak (probably hose to turbo)

as i'm driving to the office tonight about 1 minute from freeway i hear POW!!!!! almost no throttle response, car barely chugging, i see the AT TEMP light come on!!! then the engine died!!!!

quickly turn on hazards, pop the hood, and first thing i see is a hose clamp sitting on top of the intake manifold. then i see the TMIC hose from the turbo had popped off!

WHAT A RELIEF!!!!!!!!!

so glad i carry a small bag with basic tools! grabbed the flat head screw driver, got the hose clamp/hose back on and was on my way!

VIDEO

*edit
now i know why! the light was turning from green to yellow, i gunned it real quick to make it through and the hose blew off at that moment ! lol
what's really funny in the video is i was listening to piano music and it sorta gave it the "music while titanic was sinking" feeling
