MEET UP: North Bay, lets get it going!
I agree with you but you cannot create more compression hence power in an engine by injecting higher octane. That would be too easy. You ll only max out the compression where it is supposed to be at, which is 93 i suppose for our cars. So putting higher octane will give the real compression ratio rather than the one we receive from the crappy acn 91 bur nothing more. So yes I guess those additives are fun and it could tun better but putting anything more than 93 is useless unless your internals can handle more compression. And i believe our subies are set to 93 to math the compression ratio.
If you check out that link I posted where they actually meter the octane rating after using the booster the net gain is only ~2 RON as compared to just adding say 103 in the test case which resulted in ~10 RON increase.
We should end this topic diversion now before everyone kills us nerds

Car Info: his wife crazy
Wow. It took me almost 20 minutes to read all the posts since my last one to catch up.
Jose, the wife and I WILL be attending Saturday. Mark us down!
I'm finally over being sick, and the rest of the family is felling better as well. It took me two trips to medical to get the antibiotics I needed.
On a different topic, I have been getting the STi ready for the drags when I get back from SoCal the night before. I have fine tuned my boost to 21 psi, tapering to 17 at redline, and raised my AFR values ~1.03%. Datalogs look good, and the car feels strong. I wanted to install my Hydra ECU, but the virus and other things took up too much time to get to it.
Other than that, I finally got my *** back in college and start courses on Jan. 13. I'm taking AUTO 100 and MIG welding for the first two classes in my pursuit of a Certificate of Achievement in Master Repair Technician!

Chris I'm glad u guys are doing better man. Are u and ur kids coming ad well? So f2f ar I'm counting a total of 12. Possibly 15.
In other news...
I am entertaining the idea of either
A: Moving my household from Tahoe to the north bay
or
B: Finding a cheap room or studio to rent in SF, North Bay (no further north than Novato), or East Bay (Oakland/Emeryville/Berkeley)
Anyone have suggestions?
With paying rent in Tahoe, I have a VERY limited budget already so I am looking at NO MORE than $700 a month if possible.

700 $ ain't gonna cut it honestly Adam. Novato is expensive...hense is marin county. Petaluma is getting to be expensive too. And richmond/emeryville might be possible at the expense of personal safety. U should probably take a look in novato maybe?

I was waiting for someone to say something! Hahaha
