MEET UP: North Bay, lets get it going!
I bring you all yet another question from off topic land: does anyone else's car feel bogged down lately? I've only noticed it since my last fill up, particularly in the lower revs. So i'm wondering if the winter blend 91 is just particularly awful this year. I just re-flashed to v333 and have seen no change, so I don't think its the map.

Idk if its me but the economy map seem like there is more low-end power. Its hard to explain but you should give it a try and share your experiencen.

I'm glad it's not just me then. It's only started this week, the car feels like I need to give it a lot more to get moving. I usually run in I on the SI drive because I'm just sitting in traffic. Lately I've had to run in S all the time, and fuel economy has become pretty abysmal.

that means you're commuting the right way!
I think I'm going to try some octane booster and see what that does. The fuel out here is just pathetic.

Man I dont know i have been reading stuff for a while concerning octane. It looks like everybody is jerking off about getting higher octane to make their car faster. I don't know maybe I am wring but all i have seen so far is that it is more a question of safety for the engine because low octane tends to explode easily before the explosion cycle provoking knocking in the engine, which is quite bad. The only way to creat more hp in the same displacement is to increase the compression ratio. Giving a higher octane gives the car the opportunity to ignite when it is supposed to be, but not increasing the power. All in a a high octane is safe but not better, unless I forgot something, i undertand why it is better to run 93 than 87 but I dont undershand why it is better to run 96 than 93. Our engines are set for 93...
In short: "Higher octane ratings correlate to higher activation energies: This being the amount of applied energy required to initiate combustion. Since higher octane fuels have higher activation energy requirements, it is less likely that a given compression will cause uncontrolled ignition, otherwise known as autoignition or detonation."

Read that article I posted when you have some time. It goes in depth on the subject, higher octane is generally regarded as better for a performance engine like ours.
