On the dirt it allows give but it's a little more slippy.
Cool -- I upgraded to a 20mm in the back. It's been helping me get some oversteer when I lift off the throttle on asphalt, so I imagine it'd be more so on the dirt. On dirt, my rear tires stick to the ground pretty well, so I end up plowing a bit. We'll see

well Greg has dropped out. he didn't realize it was "this" weekend. Instead Alex8 has jumped aboard. he came on the last RRRrally 2006 up there and was complaining that the C.A.S.T.'s were too slow. This way he should be having fun.

Forest Road Conditions

Thirty Mendocino National Forest roads in the area burned by the Hunter Fire last August will be temporarily closed this winter to protect the roads and resources from erosion and damage. The Hunter Fire area will remain open to foot and equestrian travel.

Due to major road damage, Forest Service Road M-8 (River Road) from Van Arsdale to Lake Pillsbury is closed until further notice. Alternate routes to Lake Pillsbury are available:

Mendocino County Road 240 from the bridge at Van Arsdale, to Lake Pillsbury;
Lake County Road 301 (Elk Mountain Road) from Upper Lake to the Lake Pillsbury Basin.
The public can call the Glenn County Public Works Department at 530-934-6530 for county road conditions in Glenn County, or the Highway Patrol at 707-463-4722 for local road conditions for Lake and South Mendocino counties. Please use caution.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well this sucks. M8 was the route we were going to take to go up there. I'll let you know as i find things out. We could still take M1 up from Clearlake. but then we would be turning off North Hwy 101 in Hopland.

I might show up just to see Alex and his wagon.

That would be one hell of a scoop to get some pics of a 997 year in the future prototype.

Hey Mike, actually, I'm up here in San Francisco. Let's meet in Cotai

Say, does anyone need to borrow a radio? I can loan one out.

I'm also selling 2 extra full-sized spares to sell if anyone needs them. Tiny bit of curb rash, 50% RE92's on '02 16" stock wheels - $50 each.

Hey Rich,

pkapride (Mike) has an 04 WRB WRX Wagon. He navigated for me last Sunday on Targa Times Two. Did a great job too!
