Question Iridium or Platinum ??

Okay, time is come to change spark plugs. What is better, stay with OE NGK PFR5B-11 (platinum) or step up too Iridium (Denso or NGK).
Any ideas what is better for 2.5l engine, because price wise, they are almost same.
Thanks for all replays.

Neither.
Use copper plugs & change yearly for best results.

Let me expand on my previous post. Copper is a better conductor, but wears out faster than the premium plugs. I've figured that I can change out my copper plugs 3-5 every year for one set of premium plugs.
Premium plugs were designed for people who don't like changing plugs.

I've been busy with a ton of projects, both at work and home.
Tranny went bad in the 96 OB & I'm in the middle of changing that out & mod'ing it for a hydraulic clutch.

No...gave up on the EJ20T into my Legacy for various reasons, mainly because I'd rather spend time with my kids than the car.
The other reason is that, unfortunately, I came into a small fortune and have decided to buy a new Subaru later this year; either an STi or the Turbo Legacy. I'd go to Gold Rush today & write the check, but I gotta get over the fear of parting with $30k.

Today, I'm picking up a '93 Impreza wagon that will get the EJ20T engine.

Well, back to the salt mine.

Paul
