subaru legacy help!!?

alright i got a 98 subaru legacy.. is anyone able to help?
it's my first scooby.. and im the only one with a legacy, everyone else runs wrx's.. so most of their stuff dosent transsfer over to well..
got anytips hints and comments on what i sould start with?

New tires and some light suspension mods will go a long way. You're not going to make it fast without an engine swap, but you can make it corner well. Which car do you have, specifically, with what motor?
