Car Info: i own a 1991 subaru legacy, a 95 vw golf and a 2001 ford ranger
Question might sound stupid

this is gonna sounds dumb but im a real beginner at auto rebuild and i know nothing about it and was wondering whats the first few steps i should take at rebuilding my 1 legacy. i plan on turning it into either as street performance car or rally car but i need to know the first steps to take please hep me

first of all, if you don't have a **** load of money that you absolutely have no reason to save for, then don't even bother trying to fix up your car.

if you do have some money burning a hole in your pocket, and for some reason don't want to donate it to me (greedy bastard! ), then before anyone can answer your question, we'll need to know what your budget looks like, what kind of performance is most appealing to you, and whether there are certain performance routes that you don't want to pursue (EX: turbo, nitrous, etc).

also, be aware that if you are wanting to fix up a car for cheap, you've got the wrong car. sell your car and get a civic if that's the case, cause you're gonna pay a good premium for anything you buy for your ride.
