wire diagram for fog light, cruise, defrost panel
Does anyone have a wire diagram for the panel that holds the fog light, cruise, and rear defrost buttons. I am trying to wire up a boost and egt gauge and I am tapping into these wires. I already have the illumination and ground working for both gauges....so when I turn on my lights the gauges light up also. The part I am not sure about is for the egt i need 12volt battery and ignition in addition to illumination and ground and I'm not sure which wires are which. I have a 2004 WRX by the way.
Thanks for the help

I can't really help, but I needed this when I installed aftermarket fog lights, and I found it real easy to simply tap into the radio wires (easy to get to and already put in new HU so knew what was what. But I have a 99 so may be different. Hope this helps, GL

well....i really don't want to tap into head unit if i don't have to.....plus i don't know what the correct wires would be even if i did decide to go that route.....thanks for the comment though

i tapped it into the purple wire which can be found right behind the fog light switch. Then i grouded the wire and the gauges light up when i turn the lights on. Since it is grounded somewhere else, the gauges light up with or without the fog lights turned on.

yeah.....i actually already have the lights on both switches working properly. When the headlights are turned on the gauges light up. I assume this means I already have ground and illumination identified correctly. However the EGT gauge also needs 12 volt source (red wire) and ignition (orange wire). I am trying to figure out if anyone knows if these two wires can be found in the fog light panel. Thanks for the input.
