Why doesnt anyone like underbody lights?

I have a 87 Buick Grand National with red underbody neons. In Michigan they are illegal to use on the street. I use mine for show purposes only and for some cool lookin burnouts. (red smoke) On the front of my car the light reflects up on the radiator and the entire grille lights up red. Under the front bumper I have an intercooler scoop and light reflects out that too. It looks really cool. None of the bulbs can be seen unless you crawl under the car. I havnt had anyone say one bad thing about the lights. The only thing that sucks is I live in MI and last year in storage one of the tubes got too cold and broke. Sometime soon I will be buying some of the LED underbody lights. And I dont drive down dirt roads with the GN (WRX territory). My car has alot more money in go than show, but the lights make it look mean.

Honestly, i dont know why the guys that like the neons are even coming onto this board and trying to argue a case. If you have a legit question that you need an answer for fine, but if you like the noens then dont sound like you need permission to put them on. Its your car an ultimatley you paid for it and i would say if you want them put it on and go have fun. Just dont come on here looking for respect.p.s.i have nothing against neons i could care less if they were on my car or not i just wouldnt spend the money--Todd-

When all is said and done it all comes down to what you want on your car. "HOCKEYGOD" was right to a point about coming to a forum and asking that question but hey you got a lot of ppls opinions. People in general are gonna dislike anything that is "mainstream" /or "over done"... hence the word "ricer". If the Fast and Furious movies didnt come out not as many ppl would have the same opinion.

i couldn't agree more! i CANT STAND huge guoty (spl) body kits!!! why are you going to go mess with something that was perfect from the begining is beyond me! GEEZ IT PISSES ME OFF!
also not to mention if you have exhaust or blow off valve your already going to stick out to the 5-0 so why draw more attention to yourself by making the earth glow underneath you???

buddy well i dont like it but here is 10 reason y u put the light on or tell the people y you put them on when people call u rice boy jk
1. tell them it is for safety. make your car more visulable
2. tell them you scare of drak.
3. gay megnet
4. easy for you to lcheck for leaking oil, trans oil, coolant.......etc.
5. try to save money for going to club
6. easier finding lose bolts
7. school project
8. repersent gangs
9. i am gay
10. i am a rice boy.
