Sorry buddy, they've been illegal to sell or install for the last few months now. Aftermarket HID kits, that is. Interestingly the DOT left stock HID alone. *sarcasm mode ON* Gee I wonder why? *sacrasm mode OFF*
www.Importhookup.com is having a great deal on Xenon HIS kit for only 350 shipped.

They can sell off what they have? Hmm didn't know that...
But then again, HIDs would make you a huge piggy target considering how blatantly illegal they are nowadays... Well good luck escaflowne.
Oh, and I've been resisting for the longest time but I gotta say this: Alan Shezard is THE MAN!!!

haha. he's tite. def. even though his gaimalath (sp?) doesn't have any special features. oh well. i like his hair. hahaha.
i'm glad someone else besides me has watched some of it.
i'm checking out some bmw forums. they have Philips Kits going for 400. sweet.
oh, btw... this is a trick. (don't tell anyone). i saw my friend do this: since the 2004s share a manual with the Sti (which says that the car uses HIDs), my friend was able to tell the cops that his car came with stock HIDs. He belived us since we whipped out the manual and showed him.
---his Sti badge on his wagon should have been a dead giveaway. hahaha.

After doing some research, im proabby going to go w/ the Bohmen HID kit from Proxenon.com. I have talked to a few people that have them, and so far they havent had any problems with the balasts or bulbs. I wouldn't go for anything above the 5000K kit because they you would be loosing some usable light.
As for the legality of retrofit kits, it's true, Da MAN has made them illegal for sale to be installed on cars that did not come with HID's from the factroy. Ive heard that it may become legal to install HID kits on cars that have have self leveling head lights.
