So... I've got a 98 Impreza L. I just picked up an '02 WRX wagon that we're going to suck the engine, drivetrain, brakes, etc out of to put into the "L". I'm a big monkey though (6'6", 275lbs), so I need all the space I can get in the car. The "L" wheel is going to go into the trash along with the L dash and such. The WRX wheel looks like it might be just a smidge smaller, but I'd like something a little bit smaller in diameter to give me maximum room in there.

My problem is this - Hawaii laws require that my wheel has an airbag because the car came with one. So...unfortunately I can't just get an aftermarket Sparco or something.

Were any of the factory wheels (like say a WRX STi) smaller than the regular WRX Momo wheel?
