Sylvania Headlight Ad, 2 WRX'

Has anyone else seen the Sylvania add for HID "like" bulbs? i was watching tv the other night, well half watching tv half playing GT3. then i noticed the WRX out of the corner of my eye. couple nice cars. the yellow one has some serious camber to it! just thought i would see if anyone else noticed this commercial.

buying a pair od Sylvanias...

What dont you like?

If the moneys right I would gladly buy a pair to hold me over untill the HID conversion. Also- any input on DIY lighting conversions... I have seen various HID units for sale and am thinking of doing a splice job. Any ideas?

The tint. The perceivable light appears "blueish" as a result. It's not truly "whiter". I switched to Sylvania's XtraVisions (no tint) and am happier with the results. However, I don't know how much of a difference they actually make vs. the originals.

I have had good success with PIAA Xtreme white bulbs... 1 year warranty, plus they are about 4000 degrees K on the color scale. Try www.autobulbdepot.com for good prices and good service.

I'm trying out the Sylvania Silverstars which have a LITTLE bit of tint, and I think it improves vision slightly... or it could just be me. Either way, I have more confidence driving with them at night, so I guess that's all that matters
