Hm....i looked at this again after helping my friend do door inserts on his RSX. I think I wanna do red suede on my car. How many nights/days/hours did this take?

Awesome, great job, it is always awesome to see someone do something original and creative with 10 hours time I wish I had the patience and care to do that.

yes, its a synthetic suede, sorry i'm not a big baller and didn't go for the alconterra suede, but i found this stuff for $8/yard and was stoked on the charcoal grey.

thanks for all the props, now go and do it yourselves

*Note: you have to drill out the plastic studs which attach the door inserts to the door panels in order to completely remove them, so the inserts is not a job for the faint at heart, I recommend buying a plastic welding kit which you could probably find at any plastics supply store for reinstallation of the inserts, I just used a soldering iron(messy).*

But seriously, I think it will be ok. As long as you don't get the suede wet.
I haven't had any issues with shrinkage (lol) in the heat, and I live in the SF valley, and for the wet issue just use some scotch guard. and its not real suede so water doesn't mess with too bad.

Nice work!!!

I was looking into doing this with Alcantara fabric for better durability...
