The shift plate does not fit the stock WRX unless you sand and sand and sand the plastic around the boot area. It's a Bi*ch if you don't have a dremmel or some kind of rotary tool . You also have to drill the holes for the allen screws as well. But, IMHO the result is worth it . Good Luck!

I agree. A major pain in the *** to install, but the results are definitely worth it.

The Sti plate IS a major pain to install but there is one that is made for the WRX and doesn't require you to do any sanding, only drill the holes and kaput. (did you know kaput is an actual word?) It doesn't have the STI logo on it though but you can choose between the Impreza logo and the WRX logo. It is a lil more expensive though...here is the link
