Do any of you scoobie people out there know any fixes for shutting off the airbag light because I no longer have side impact airbags with the Sparcos. There should be a resistor that could be used to trick the system into thinking that the airbags are still there. If anybody knows the correct resistor to use please post and fill me in because I'm tired of looking at the light. Thanx ya'll.

Go ahead and pick up an Ohm meter and connect it to the wires that are dangling from your seat, so you can find out how much resistance its putting out. That is the other way to do it.

 

I would try putting my ohm meter in there but I've been told by a mechanic that doing so may cause he airbags to fire. It only takes the slightest current to make them deploy.

 

Shrug. Honestly I don't think an Ohm meter would set your air bags, for a couple of reasons. Well, you don't have any power going to them and an Ohm meter is not pushing 12v to your airbags. Try it at your own risk, but if I was in your situation I would go ahead and do it. Alway if you do go ahead and do it, and find out the Ohm's let me know what it is, because I'm about to buy a pair of Corbeau seats for my car.

 

hahahaha. I'll stick the meter in there later today and tell ya what it reads unless it blows up in my face.
