I need to clear the light as the seat side airbag deployed, got a new seat and put it in. Clearning the ECU via disconnecting the battery won't work. I need a scanner tool that can do it.

when you replaced the seat, did you also replace the control module? that might be why.....

If I go down to the dealership they would charge a fortune just to plug in the scanner and clear the light.
Btw... What control module?

theres a control module in any car with airbags, that controls what, when, and why airbags go off. all the sensors for airbag deployment plug into it. i know mine is in the center console under my stereo/cigarette lighter, but i have a 94. i dunno where yours would be. its just a little siver box with a plug, about 5-6" square, and has a yellow airbag sticker on it

Holy crap, they are about $1000+. Well thanks though. Still back to the origional question of who has a scanner that "should" clear airbiag lights? I'll have to see if it comes back on after it is cleared.
did your airbag actually go off? or did you just put in an aftermarket seat and now you are getting the light?
If you put in a new seat, then you just need to put a 3.3 ohm resistor into the airbag harness from the car

Ouch... Go aftermarket man. Get a V8 JDM seat with airbag.

I already got the new seat and put it in. I connected it, reset the ECU and the airbag light didn't go out. I talked with a few people and was told that the airbag lights usually won't be reset by resetting the ECU. Thats why I want to try a high end scanner. If that dosn't work I'll take out the new set and put in the old one that I sew up.
