I don't personaly care for the reflective look myself but,
it's your car and you have to decide.I forgot that you live
in CA and going with 30% should be fine.
Post some pics after you get tinted!

Try Subaru's Front License Plate Bracket-SOA342L120. It mounts with sheet metal screws, so buy 2 plastic screw anchors at a hardware store and use those to mount the bracket solidly. Then for a finished look, use Subaru's frames front and rear-SOA342L105. The anchors to use are #12-14x1-1/2".

I am unaware of any way to mount a front plate without drilling two holes. Somebody designed a neat bracket to do it on the C6 Corvette which you could track down in the Corvette magazines and look into. For the Subaru bracket, you drill two holes of the size called for by the anchors in the same dimples used by dealers to screw the plate directly to the bumper cover. It ends up looking good and being rigid and durable.
720-979-5265, www.iaproducts.com for the C6 bracket-you might be able to adapt it.

put that plate behind your damn bumper. they say you need two. one front, one back. if its right behind the bumper i consider it there. so **** the tickets. i also suggest 5% all the way around. looks sick. my buddy has a 06 silverado dropped on bags and drags frame. he had 5 all the way around and 20 on the whole winshield and just got pulled. now that is how tint should be on a show car. haha. if you dont want to dark though go 20. still looks good. i would stray away from mirror in my opinion.

for lisence plate i would place it into the mouth and find a way to mount it that way you dont have to drill into the bumper
