Rear Wheel Well

What is the little rubber lining on the edge of the rear wheel wells for? I dont like the way it looks and was wondering if it is easily removable and if taken off is it gonna do anything to the car?

Well, if you remove them you'll have 2 unsightly holes in each fender that you'll have to bondo and repaint. :P

As to why they are there is a mystery to me. Over time you will learn to love them. Or buy Kaminari side skirts. They cover them.

Wrong Thing

Im not talking about the plastic peice at the rear of the back door. I am talking on the edge of the back wheel wells there is a lining that runs along that edge. Run your hand along the edge of the wheel well and there is this rubber-like strip. Ill post a pic tommorow but i think i want to take it off. I was just wondering if anyone has.

I don't notice any annoying looking black strip on my wrx. Let's see the pic of what you're talking about.

He is talking about the rubber piece that runs along the inside edge of the fender it is where the tire will usually rub if the car is lowered. It goes from the bottom front of the fender to where the back of the fender meets the rear bumper cover. It is kinda hard to descride they all come with it...I got one side that seems to be coming off all the time I took them off my last Suby when I rolled the rear fenders..
