Rear Defogger Switch...

Quick question: I have a 2000 RS. The Rear Defog switch has the little orange light when defrosting. It irked me that the defog light was the only one that didnt have a backlight at nite. Thought I just had to live with it. My friend just got a 2001 Rs, and this one has a backlight(looks like same switch though). Has my bulb always just been burnt out, or did Subee switch switches? I hadnt even thought of this till the little orange light on my fog switch died. I pulled the switch apart, and those bulbs are accessable. The Defog switch has no way to get to bulbs (unless there is a way to get switch apart without breaking it. Switch says NISSAN on it, and 9902N, but i cant find any other numbers on it. Any one with ideas?
