rattles

hey there, is there a list of common interior rattles in a wrx? more spacificly the 05 wrx? if there is no list around can you guys tell me some common rattles? i have one in my car and its buggin the hell out of me... its not the CC ***... it sounds like its coming from behind the stering collum or behind some plasic part of the dash infront of the driver's seat... thanx in advance!

i drive an '07 2.5i and i noticed accelerating past 4000rpm i hear a strange rattle till about 4500-5000rpm then it just stops, or sometimes when slowly accelerating from stop into 1st i hear a slight rattle as well...

both of these i have no clue what they are and i have no clue if they are normal on the car...

so far those are the only 2 sounds i have heard

In my 04 STi there is this blasted rattle coming from the vent on top of the dash that is pointed in the direction of the drivers side front window. Maybe that's where it's coming from?

i think its comming from the passenger a piller cover... is that a common one?

The A pillar covers & the defrost vent all have rattly pop fasteners behind them. Remove the covers and put a dab of RTV on the BASE of each. Let dry overnight and reinstall. This killed 90% of the rattles from the dash.

i believe there's a write-up on scoobymods on how to take care of the rattles under the a-pillar\dash. had some good pics iirc.

I got the same rattle in my 05 sti. i think its just to thr right of the storage compartment on the left side of the steering wheel. if you put pressure on that panel, it stops.
