rattling cruise control button...

its sooo irratating and was wondering if anybody else had this prob?. i used to wedge pieces of paper in ther but they jus fall out. allmost wana glue it still...

I get 2-3 a month @ our dealer calling me on this. There is a set screw on the back side (need shorty phillips), crank 'er down HARD after you use 'locktite blue'. Problem solved. I have had NO customers come back complaining again (and I am in 'sales'!).

Yep, it works. Did mine a year ago ~ still silent (of course there is a chorus of 20 other rattles to track down!).

I can't tell you how many of my customers want to kiss me for that one! It is a VERY common buzz in our cars ~ like said above ^^^ Now I have a half dozen other rattles to track down! :rotfl:

Sorry to bump an old thread -

FWIW My CC button began to rattle again this weekend. I "fixed" it with the Loctite Blue a little over a year ago. I had totally forgotten about it until it started rattling again this weekend. I'll try some more Loctite and see if it fixes it again.
