Question about gauge choices

ok, I know there are a lot of threads out there about which gauges are important, but the answers are always conflicting and too general.

I have a 2002 WRX and already have the boost gauge. The car is tuned with a TBE w up-pipe. The car is mainly a daily driver but I do go on long trips sometimes and do rally-x/fun runs on dirt roads. What gauges would be important and most beneficial for this car? and please explain why too gracias

Alot of people may say water temp....you've got one....does the job well enough.
Oil temp and oil pressure may be the two best guages to run. Under hard driving conditions it's a good idea to keep tabs on the oil...since it is the life of the car.

The oil temp and pressure may be a pain to put in as the sandwich block will lower where your oil filter sits....unless you go with an oil filter relocation kit (which will mean you'll need to run a little extra oil in your car since there is additional tubing for it to route through).

An EGT (Exhaust Gas Temp) the one I have...don't care for it. Wouldn't have wasted my money on it if I had put it in the car.

These are my experiences and opinions....

Temp is probably more early warning than the pressure is.

Used to need it in my 180SX during the long commutes and hot weather. Knew when to lay off the gas and let the car cool out some. Pressure would increase as demand on the engine increased, but would never go above a normal level...

Most important and under-rated gauge out there: fuel pressure gauge. If your oil pressure zeroes out, the engine is already toast; if the oil temp is too high, it isn't dangerous, just change it sooner. However, a loss in fuel pressure = very lean conditions and major detonation = pull over fast!
