Question Parking Lights?

Well one of my parking lights has gone out in my WRX. I was thinking of replacing them with LEDs since it looks like a pain to change them, and they should last longer then normal bulbs.
I did a quick search on the site for people replacing lights with LEDs and I didnt find much. Has anyone done this and liked it or had any problems with running LEDs.

I am kinda hoping it wont look bad with them in, so if you have a pic of your wrx with them I would like to see them.

1) What year is your WRX?

2) Where are you located?

If your parking light bulb is the same as the '04s I could help you.

As far as changing the bulbs, the cars manual says that you need to take the light assembly out and change them, put it back in and align the lights... Now I haven't done this yet, but that seems to be a lot of work to change a bulb out, that is why I'm thinking of changing them to leds since they have a much longer life and give out a whiter light. How is it done with the 04's?

I went the other way and put Amber LEDs in there. It looks like it should be stock. I had the white LEDs in there before and it looked too blue for my taste so I went to the other end of the spectrum and got a set of ambers. IMHO it looks pretty darn good.

Bill

btw, it's an 02.

Hmm not a bad idea, might give it a nice look. It is legal to use amber lights right...? I am kinda sure that my old car had amber parking lights... It's only been two months since I sold it and bought my wrx and I can't remember, man I love my wrx such a great car.

Do you remember who you got the amber LEDs from?

I found that site too, prices are realy nice. Which ones did you go with single led bulb or one of the 6 or 9 led bulbs?

I have the 6-bulb amber LEDs installed in my side markers/parking lights; they are just as bright as the stock bulbs, and totally invisible during the day (you can't see them through the side marker lens, unlike the amber bulb). I haven't seen any ill effects or voltage problems after installing them.

I have the 6-bulb units as well. Just as said above, they are just as bright as the stock bulbs.
