Osram Silverstars in 04

I was just wondering if anyone with an 04 WRX has had any problems with Osram Silverstars. Since the stock bulb is rated at 55 watts, and the H1 Silverstars is rated at 68 watts (from their website), I want to know if the 13 watt difference will create a problem. I wanted to just replace the stock bulbs (fog lights, high and low beams) with Silverstars but the wattage ratings differ from 10 to 13 watts.

I tried searching but I didn't see anyone using these bulbs in an 04.

How did you get your hands on Osrams?! They're nearly impossible to get in North America since Sylvania bought them out and hijacked the Osram name for use here.
As for your wattage question, I'm not quite good enough to answer that. Sorry

Anyone else?

I haven't bought them yet, but I was going to use www.powerbulbs.com to purchase the Osrams. Technically I wouldn't be buying them in North America.

I bought bulbs from them before. Received them fine and price was good.

AlanS, you wouldn't happen to know which bulbs fit in the 04 fog lights would you? I want to get the silverstars too, but for both my headlights and fog lights to match them.

I have my OSRAM for almost 5 months in my 04 WRX now, no problem at all. They are slightly better than OEM. I got it from powerbulbs.com too. They are fast and reliable.

The only problem i had was installing them on. One of the side (i forgot which side) was kinda hard because the battery is in the way, you really have to try hard to get the old one out.

Actually, now that someone mentioned it (topic jack!) I wanted to warn people about the screws and tension springs for the headlights -- in my 02 WRX, not only did the tension springs go flying across the engine compartment when loosened (luckily I had a hand ready to catch them) but the actual screws and screw sockets were quite corroded -- leaving a soft green powder. The same with my 1997 Legacy wagon; in that case, the screw holes were so corroded I had to go to the hardware store and get a slightly-larger set of sheet metal screws to replace them. This looks like galvanic corrosion to me -- the kind you get when two different types of metal bond to one another due to electrical conductivity... Anyway, when you put the screws back in, hit them with Tite-Lock or something similar to seal out any moisture.
