New to WRX. A/C Q

hello, i want to know if when the airconditioning is on, the engine's performance is affected. I've never driven a turbo 4 or 4cylinder for that matter, and i was curious. I am considering buying a wrx and the temperatures here in the summer are hot. thanks

in the 2.0 liter WRX engine you will notice a major power decrease while driving. Example: Cruise on the freeway with out the A/C on then turn the fans to high, the coldest setting, and push the A/C button. You will feel the engine bog down. With the 2.5 liter STi engine it is not as noticable but still there.

Especially when its 95 degrees out, and thats when you wanna use your a/c the most =P Hot air + a/c = unhappy engine.

yes whent its hots, you are putting even more load on the engine when the A/C is on. Id just take it out for weight savings and get a pop up roof intake like on the Spec C.
